LTI is a Green Certified Company. LTI has taken various steps to lighten the "Carbon Footprint" we leave on our world around us. In an effort to reduce our overall vehicle emissions, we have adopted a non-idling policy on our entire fleet of vehicles. With the use of a GPS unit installed in each vehicle, LTI receives an alert if one of our vehicles has idled for more than 5 minutes. LTI has added a line of Flex-Fuel vehicles to our fleet. Our chauffeurs have been equipped with GPS navigational devices to utilize the most direct routes to and from locations, eliminating unnecessary mileage. Over the past year, LTI has decreased its overall fuel consumption by 30%.
LTI has implemented a company wide Recycling and Energy Saving Program. All paper, plastic, and glass products are recycled. All office supplies such as paper and folders are made from post-consumer waste. LTI has cut down on its paper consumption through the use of emails for all internal memos and marketing materials.
In an effort to reduce our energy consumption, LTI turns of power to all computers, printers, and office equipment each night. All lights are turned off in areas which are not being used. LTI has replaced all incandescent bulbs in our building with more efficient compact fluorescent lights.
LTI has installed an in-house car wash which through a state of the art filtration system recycles the water which is used to clean our vehicles. Each week our building maintenance manager does a walk through of our entire facility, evaluating each area and identifying potential sources of pollution and ways to prevent it. All water sources in our facility, including the car wash, are checked for leaks during this walk through.
